“When you feel like quitting, think about why you started”
It doesn’t matter what industry you are in or what type of job you have. We all have days (sometimes weeks) that can be challenging. One of the ways to keep going to is remember why.
Why are you building your business?
Why are you studying that course?
Why are you training for that competition?
When you can look into your heart and soul you will find the answer. Your answer maybe different to a friend’s or colleague’s and that is okay. Because it has to be your why. Otherwise it will be difficult to keep going through the hard times trying to live and fulfil someone else’s dream.
To help you get through the difficult stages, put reminders up around the house, set notifications on your phone, email yourself or create a vision board. But, find a cheer squad who understand what you are trying to achieve and why. Reach out to them when you are feeling down and out. Believe them when they say “You’ve got this!” or “Go girl!”, accept offers of help and don’t be scared to admit you are stumped and need help to get past a block or tech issue.
When you are tired, rest but don’t quit.
If you have been feeling a bit flat lately and questioning yourself, I hope this helps.
PS: I find that getting outside in the sunshine and fresh air can work wonders. A change of scenery can help change your perspective.
